That’s 37 Countries in Total… So far!

We have loved traviling with a baby and the range of experiences she has had at such a young age is truly extraordinary. We hope that this will become a basis for a well rounded and liberal point of view.  Her ability to intelligently compassionately and tolerantly interact with the world around her will determine how happy her life is. We also give her and the other kids access to good online resources to help round them out as well. Fire for kids is one of them. She asks to do her schooling every day and can enjoy it for up to 2 hours. We never thought that while we were traveling with a baby,m she would be doing so much schooling. At 3 years old, she is already spelling and adding numbers. Khan academy has bee the major player in this process.

Yes, it is quite a list. How much of it she will remember is another question, but she is surprisingly aware of the places she has been and has strong associations between places and the people there. We are often amazed that while we are traveling with a baby so much, she still remembers so many of the things she liked and the places we had them. For instance, she always associates swirly ice creams with Poland and our friend Vanya with St Petersburg. She reminds us of things that happened while we were traveling with her when she was under 2 years old.

Is It Good?

Is all the traveling with a baby actually good for her? I see her excitement when we get underway to a new location, she clearly loves it. She also seems to really enjoy seeing new and different things and places. So, my feeling is that she is benefitting from it. I guess this is a sign of her being a well-traveled baby. She rarely complains about stuff that other kids crack up about, like being in a car for a few hours at a time is a breeze for her. Not having a lot of toys too. It’s difficult to cart loads of toys around when you are traveling with a baby. Vita is wonderful and finding ways to play with whatever is on hand.

Vero is masterful in maintaining routines in the baby’s life, even when the locations are changing fast. But actually, we see that this baby likes to have her routine broken sometimes. Nevertheless, we break routine as little as possible.
